Lemongrass Mint Julep



  • 1 1/2 T. Thai Lemongrass-Mint White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 T. simple syrup*
  • 2 Large leaves fresh mint, plus more for garnish
  • 2 1/2 oz whiskey, Kentucky Bourbon
  • soda water
  • ice, preferably crushed



Combine Balsamic Vinegar, simple syrup, and mint leaves in a glass and muddle gently. (Over-muddling will result in a bitter cocktail.) Add whiskey and ice, and fill with soda water. Stir and serve, garnishing with more mint leaves if desired.


*Making Simple Syrup is very simple: Combine equal parts water and sugar and simmer or microwave until sugar is dissolved, stirring periodically. Cool before using, and store in the fridge.
